    Roger Ailes is the current head of Fox News, the most important media outlet for likely Republican primary voters. Mr. Ailes has also been close friends with Rudy Giuliani for nearly twenty years. In 1996, Giuliani intervened with Time Warner on behalf of the then-fledgling Fox News, offering "extraordinary" pressure according to Time Warner Executives. A federal judge blocked Giuliani's plans for Fox News before an agreement was reached between Fox News and Time Warner a year later, citing it to be "special advocacy to reward a friend and further a particular viewpoint". Thus far into the 2008 US Presidential Campaign, Giuliani has clocked more minutes on Fox News than his rival candidates.
